PBIBS To Hold A Sounding of Horns May 14th

Because of COVID-19, the 35th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS) was canceled by the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County and Informa for the safety and well-being of staff, exhibitors, partners, attendees and members.

PBIBS has announced that they will still be hosting a “virtual” boat show online on Thursday, May 14. To keep boat show tradition of boats in attendance sounding their horns on the final day, Palm Beach County marinas, maritime law enforcement, tow boats, and private boaters plan to sound their boat horns for 30 seconds at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

Area residents and those who want to watch and listen from the downtown seawall at the public marina will be provided blow horns, while supplies last, and participating in-water boats will be located between the Palm Harbor Marina and the downtown docks along Flagler Drive.

Educational videos and web-seminars led by industry experts, including the youth fishing clinics by Hook The Future and IGFA School of Sportfishing, will be available on the PBIBS website.
