BUILT FOR THE LONG RUN. BORN FOR THE CLOSE FIGHT.

At Release Boatworks, we don’t follow trends—we build what we’d want to run ourselves. And the 46 Walkaround sportfishing boat is the perfect example. She’s got the heart of a center console and the soul of a classic custom sportfisher—360 degrees of fishability, the safety of high gunnels, and just enough comfort below to go long, stay out, and come back ready to do it again. This is the boat that helped bring the modern walkaround sportfishing design back into the spotlight—and she’s still the one they’re all trying to catch.

We designed her alongside naval architect Erwin Gerards with one goal: build a boat that works as hard as you do. The 150-square-foot cockpit is wide open, with smart storage, clean lines, and nothing in the way when it’s time to go full contact. You’ve got room to move, room to rig, and room to bleed a big one.
01. The Concept

NO NONSENSE. NO COMPROMISES. NO EXCUSES.

Every Release Boatworks 46 Walkaround starts with a simple idea: give the offshore fisherman everything he needs—and nothing he doesn’t.”That’s why the cockpit is clean, the access is easy, and the systems are built to be maintained at sea, not in the yard. Every detail—from the way the tackle is stowed to how the helm is laid out—comes from decades of real-world sportfishing experience.

She’s all business. No gimmicks. No fluff. Just the tools, right where you need them.

02. Driven

SHE DOESN’T JUST RUN—SHE CHARGES

This is a boat that’s just as….” with “Performance isn’t optional on the 46. It’s the whole damn point. Her vacuum-infused hull, drawn by Erwin Gerards, is fast, stable, and sharp as a gaff hook. She runs flat, handles tight, and backs down like she means it.

This is a boat for the ones who don’t just fish—they hunt. The ones chasing dreams, legends, and ghosts that only show once in a lifetime. Balanced in big seas, quick on the throttle, and always ready to ride into the blue—and come back with a story worth telling.
