43’ Walkaround

We Don’t Compromise. Neither Should You.

Like all Release Boatworks vessels, we build the 43 Walkaround with state-of-the-art composite materials and advanced technology. Partnering with an industry leader in advanced composites, North American Composites (NAC), Release Boatworks utilizes the specifications from NAC to set the standards on all build materials. The result is a hull that’s as strong and fast as it is sleek.

Designed to provide serious anglers with the best fishing platform available, our 43 Walkaround combines the fishability of a center console with the onboard comfort of a traditional express boat: The best of both worlds. The 120-square foot cockpit provided many built-in features to make fishing easier, things like amply sized fish boxes, optimal gunwale heights, and a strategically placed chair/rocket launcher.

The 43’ Walkaround. Designed and Built For Those Who Know.

At Release, we like to say that while we didn’t invent the walkaround design, we just constantly strive to perfect it again and again. No other layout gives you the unlimited fishability of a walkaround, and it’s really the best of both worlds. You get the uncompromised access afforded by the wide, 360-degree walkaround decks, combined with a truly roomy and comfortable space below for overnighting or simply getting out of the weather. It’s a boat that does many things well, built for the demanding fishermen of the world, who also don’t mind a little comfort.

The 36 Express is all Release under the hood—running the same Erwin Gerards hull form as her walkaround sister. Sharp entry. Rounded keel. Balanced lift. She cuts through chop, lands soft, and trolls clean with a wake designed to raise fish, not flags.

She’s responsive at the wheel and stable in the trough. Whether you’re chasing sails, dropping for swords, or blasting through a cold front to beat the tide, she’s with you the whole way.

Power options include twin Volvo D6 320s, with other diesel packages available. Cruise in the high 20s. Top out in the mid-30s. What she gives up in length, she makes up for in backbone.

Tailor Made to How You Live (And Fish).

Performance isn’t optional on the 43. It’s the whole damn point. Her vacuum-infused hull, drawn by Erwin Gerards, is fast, stable, and sharp as a gaff hook. She runs flat, handles tight, and backs down like she means it.

This is a boat for the ones who don’t just fish—they hunt. The ones chasing dreams, legends, and ghosts that only show once in a lifetime. Balanced in big seas, quick on the throttle, and always ready to ride into the blue—and come back with a story worth telling.

The Release 43 Walkaround combines center-console fishability with express comfort.

Release 43 Walkaround, Bellwether, seen here. While there are a lot of great fishing boats out there, when it comes to timeless beauty and endless fishability, nothing beats a Release Walkaround. Available in 43-, 46-, and 55-foot models, a Release Walkaround provides anglers with plenty of space to fight trophy fish, with 360 degrees of fishable space around the boat, much like today’s big center consoles. But, unlike center consoles, Release Walkarounds also provide spacious accommodations belowdecks for relaxing comfortably after a hard day fishing remote waters. Air conditioning with reverse cycle heat comes standard, as does teak-and-holly flooring, teak cabinetry and drawers, a two-drawer refrigerator, and a microwave. Real comfort, real accommodations.

Of course, like all Release Boatworks vessels, the 43 Walkaround gets built using state-of-the-art composite materials and advanced technology, yielding a hull that’s as strong and fast as it is sleek. The Release Walkarounds combine the ultimate fishing practicality of a center console, with true overnighting capabilities. Some might call that a compromise, but we call it having the best of both worlds. If this sounds like the type of boat you’re looking for, contact us today.
