If fishing is the name of your game then a Release 34 certainly deserves your consideration.

With a proven fish-raising hull, she’s as sleek and efficient as the gamefish she was designed to chase, with head-turning good looks and pulse pounding performance. The option of either an Express or Walk-Around layout further customizes the boat to suit any owner’s desires.

In the Walk-Around configuration, crewmembers can go forward to tend the lines or set an anchor safely from inside the vessel, an especially important benefit for families with small children. The level deck means no awkward step up to stumble over, while the innovative design means true 360 degree fishability.  The Release 34 Walk-Around is designed to provide a perfect platform for drifting for swordfish or kite fishing for sails, among other pursuits.

Those who prefer to troll for their quarry will appreciate the Release 34 Express, with its single pod helm design and the ability to air-condition the entire bridge deck. A more spacious salon also means more room to relax during or after a long day at sea. An over/under bunk design makes an overnighter to the northern canyons or the islands of the Bahamas even more comfortable in the 34 Express.

Designed and built with input from some of the world’s best light-tackle anglers and captains, both options feature a huge 80-square foot cockpit—the heart of any true fishing boat. There’s plenty of room for a full-sized fighting chair or rocket launcher, spacious, heavily insulated fishboxes and customizable storage throughout.

So whether your idea of the perfect boat is one that is set up to chase world records on light tackle or one that is rigged to hang out at the sandbar all day with your family, we’ve got you covered. The Release 34 can truly do it all.

Performance

The Release 34 tops out at over 34 knots while comfortably cruising in the low 30 knot range. That offers a 300-plus mile range and the speed to reach the fishing grounds first—a true tournament machine. But perhaps the ultimate set-up for the Release 34 is twin Yamaha 350 outboards, a super-efficient setup that still reaches a top speed of 32.5 knots and cruises at 28 knots burning just 16 gallons per hour.

Fishing

The Release 34 has one of the cleanest wakes imaginable—it’s an offshore angler’s dream. Minimal underwater turbulence means clear “alleys” for the baits and teasers to run in clean water, increasing their visibility to any roving marlin or sailfish. As the legendary Capt. Ron Hamlin is fond of saying, “The boat’s the best teaser you have in the water,” and the Release 34 is no exception. This boat, based on an already world-famous hull design, raises fish in any ocean in the world. We’ll stake our reputation on it.

Design and Construction

Release created a design that not only retains the custom boat style, but brings the functionality to a whole new level in both the Walk-Around and Express configurations. The hull consists of ISO/NPG gelcoat, vinylester resins and multi-directional fabrics all sandwiching Airex coring. All of this is vacuum infused, resulting in an optimal resin to cloth ratio. A layer of carbon fiber is added to the molded string system for added stiffness. The Release 34 is a boat that is designed to last a lifetime.

The Release philosophy of beautiful and functional design continues throughout the vessel. The bridge deck is nothing short of masterful. With plenty of seating and storage for an entire tournament team or the whole family, the helm station is right where it should be: in the center of the action. The electronics panel offers plenty of space for the latest electronic displays while a teak helm pod and single lever controls add to the classic Release look. In addition to the day hatch that allows for easy inspection of the engine compartment and fluid levels, the entire bridge deck rises on electric rams for complete access to every area of the engine compartment. It’s everything you need, where you need it.

Accommodations

While accommodations on most vessels in this size range are notoriously Spartan, the Release 34 can be considered quite luxurious by comparison. The salon in both the Walk-Around and Express versions features over six feet of headroom while the marine head (bathroom) has all the comforts of home. The Express has over-and-under bunks while the Walk-Around has a vee-berth forward for overnighting or just a quick nap on the way back from the fishing grounds. And because Release Boatworks is a custom builder, prospective owners can choose from a wide variety of fabrics and soft goods for the salon, making it a space that’s both comfortable and truly one of a kind. The sky’s the limit.
